Qualified Funds – IRA’s and other retirement arrangements in bankruptcy

There is an exemption for “qualified” funds in a bankruptcy filing. Qualified funds generally means those assets that are in a retirement arrangement such as a 401k, 403b, 457 plan, IRA, or Roth IRA. In most cases these types of retirement arrangements get unlimited exemption.
